A popular oceanfront restaurant in Lāhainā, Leilani’s On The Beach is known for its fresh seafood-centered menu, tropical drinks and casual island vibe.
If delicious tropical cuisine and panoramic views of the Pacific are high on your Maui dining wish list, Leilani’s On The Beach is a restaurant not to be missed. This laid back dining venue - located on Ka’anapali Beach at Whaler’s Village - delivers a diverse menu from in-season ingredients procured through longstanding partnerships with local farmers and fisherman. So, whether you’re craving a classic or looking for a creative twist on conventional island cooking, Leilani’s consummate blend of tradition and modernity is sure to hit the spot!
Dinner is served daily from 16:30, with a final seating at 21:00, and reservations well in advance of your visit are strongly recommended. Highlights from the menu include the Seafood Hot Pot, Sesame Crusted Ahi Steak and Merus Cut Alaskan King Crab Legs - all of which are faultless - and there’s a broad selection of pūpūs (Korean Pork Ribs, Calamari, Sashimi and such like) that can be enjoyed as appetizers or as part of a sharing platter. Everyone we know who’s eaten Poke here has fallen in love with it, and the same can be said for the Mac Nut Hummus, Crab Cakes and Original Hula Pie - a sweet so good that it renders dessert non-negotiable, no matter how full up you feel!
The restaurant’s lively beach bar - open 10:30 - 21:30 - serves a range of wines by the bottle and the glass, a good choice of local beers on draft and an extensive list of tropical cocktails, which - for an extra $10 - can be served in a Maui Gold pineapple! There’s regular live music and a fairly comprehensive bar menu that includes casual classics such as the Beachside Cheeseburger, Kalua Pork Sandwich (known here by the name Sloppy Ozzy!) and reportedly the best Fish Tacos on the island. Special promotions run on Tuesdays (tacos) and Wednesdays (burgers and beer), and the bar hosts a popular Aloha Hour between 15:00 - 17:00 Thursday through Monday.
Part of the T S Restaurants Group, which includes iconic Duke’s Waikiki amongst a host of other brands across Hawai’i and California, Leilani’s warm welcome, friendly service and sumptuous Hawaiian cuisine have made this restaurant a favorite with locals as well as travelers from all over the world…
